Tribological Evaluation of Turbostratic 2D Graphite as Oil Additive

چکیده

In this study, powder technology was used to obtain Fe-SiC composites in which SiC particles act as precursors generate a large amount of turbostratic graphite dispersed the composite matrix. The selection alloy composition studied employing Thermo-Calc® software temperature and range for stabilization phase iron with high yield. extracted 2D were mineral oil order evaluate potential these lubricating additive. structure morphology examined by Raman spectroscopy transmission electron microscopy (TEM), indicating highly disordered nature graphite. Reductions friction coefficient wear rate tribological pair observed when compared pure commercial added. misorientation increase interplanar distances induce low degree interaction between atomic planes, contributes low-friction lower obtained system.
